Pastor Quinton “Pastor Q” Ford was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in 1987 and raised in a Christ-centered home with parents deeply rooted in ministry. His spiritual foundation was laid early—receiving salvation at the age of five at South Side Church of God in Christ in Jacksonville, Florida, under the leadership of Bishop Edward Robinson Sr.

In 2001, Pastor Q’s family relocated to Tallahassee, Florida, where his passion for ministry continued to grow. He faithfully served alongside his parents, ministering through music as a drummer and backup keyboardist, while developing a heart for God’s people.

A defining moment occurred in April 2007, when Pastor Q rededicated his life to Christ at Faith Christian Center in Jacksonville under Pastor Andre Cooper Sr., where he was filled with the Holy Spirit. In 2010, he married his wife, Lady Sha Ford, and soon thereafter answered the call to ministry.

Committed to biblical training and leadership development, Pastor Q graduated from Layman’s Bible School in 2012 and later completed his studies at the Leadership Training Center in Jacksonville, graduating magna cum laude in 2016. That same year, he became a licensed and ordained minister. His ministry flourished as he led a rapidly growing “Mega Group,” where countless young people experienced salvation, the infilling of the Holy Spirit, healing, and prophetic ministry.

In May 2021, God placed a clear vision in Pastor Q’s heart—to impact the city of Tallahassee with a life-giving, Spirit-led ministry. That vision became Encounter Church Church of God in Christ, where he now serves as Senior Pastor. Pastor Q is known for his passionate preaching, practical Bible teaching, and unwavering commitment to helping people encounter God and walk in purpose. His signature encouragement to all is simple yet powerful: “Keep Moving Forward.”

Beyond the local church, Pastor Q is honored to serve as Chairman of the Florida Gulf Coast District and Chairman of the Pastors and Elders Council for the Georgia Northern First Jurisdiction, where he provides leadership, vision, and spiritual guidance to pastors and churches across the region.

Together, Pastor Q and Lady Sha are the proud parents of three daughters—Jaliyah, Jailyn, and Jayda. As a family, they exemplify faith, love, and service, living out their calling to make a lasting impact in the church and the community.
